Sweet & Sour Prawn Skewers

with UNCLE BEN'S Sweet & Sour Light Sauce & UNCLE BEN'S Express Wholegrain Rice

Ingredients

  • 500 g UNCLE BEN'S Sweet & Sour Light Sauce
  • 500 g UNCLE BEN'S Express Wholegrain Rice
  • 15 mls sunflower oil
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 75 g sugar snap peas, sliced
  • 1 small red onion, chopped

Try adding sliced button mushrooms into the rice

Method

  1. Thread the large prawns onto 4 skewers
  2. Cook the rice for 10 minutes. Meanwhile heat the oil in a large frying pan, stir fry the pepper, sugar snap peas and onion for 2-3 minutes. Remove the pan and keep to one side
  3. Now cook the prawn skewers in the frying pan for 3 - 4 minutes, turning a couple of times.
  4. Stir in the UNCLE BEN'S Sweet & Sour sauce and cook for a further 2 - 3 minutes.
  5. Mix the red pepper, sugar snap peas and onion into the heated rice
  6. Serve the prawns on a bed of the savoury rice, with a small bowl of the Sweet & Sour sauce
